These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Inquiry by Design Digital Resource Hub (the “Resource Hub”) at toolkit.inquirybydesign.com, operated by Inquiry By Design, Inc. (“Inquiry By Design,” “IBD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By signing in to or using the Resource Hub, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Resource Hub.
Who the Resource Hub is for
The Resource Hub is a companion to Inquiry by Design’s middle-school curriculum, available to teachers and staff at schools and districts that license it. It is intended for adult educators, not for students. Sign-in is available to teachers and staff using their existing school account through Google, Microsoft, Clever, or ClassLink.
Signing in and your account
You sign in with an existing school or work account through one of the providers above. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens under it. When you first sign in, we create a basic Resource Hub user record for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Please use the Resource Hub for your school’s instructional purposes. You agree not to:
- share your login so that people outside your licensed district can access the Resource Hub;
- resell, redistribute, or publish IBD materials outside the scope of your district’s license;
- attempt to disrupt, probe, or breach the security of the Resource Hub, or upload anything harmful; or
- use the Resource Hub in any unlawful way.
IBD’s curriculum is licensed to your district. The scope of permitted classroom use is set by your district’s purchase or license agreement.
Intellectual property
The Resource Hub and its content are owned by IBD or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant licensed users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Resource Hub for instruction during the license term.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Resource Hub available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, change, or remove content or features from time to time.
Disclaimers
The Resource Hub is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, IBD will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Resource Hub. IBD’s total liability relating to the Resource Hub is limited to [the amount your district paid for the applicable license, or US $100, whichever your counsel prefers].
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms here with a new date. Your continued use of the Resource Hub after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
